Idle hands, devil’s playthings, etc.

I am not looking forward to being cooped up this winter inside, I can tell you that right now. I hope more fun things like this are going on, otherwise I’ll be planning some riotous playdates. It’s simply more fun when I know that I won’t have to pick up the mess.

Saturday (10/24), Lowe’s is having a workshop for kids. The project is the Frankenstring Magic Trick Kit pictured above. It’s open to the first 50 children to register AND be present at each store. The target age group is 1st grade – 5th grade.

Go HERE to register.

Take your kiddos to Micheal’s on Sunday (10/25.) To help them get ready for Halloween they will have free paint supplies to decorate a T-shirt. You will have to buy a T-shirt but if you use one of the coupons in their store flier you should be able to get it fairly inexpensively.

Plus, while you wait for your kids to finish they will be demonstrating how to make adult masks. Find out more details HERE.

Saving Money in WA gives us a heads up on a really awesome Christmas deal:

Trio Building

At ToysRUs, Fisher Price Trio Building sets are currently buy 2 get 1 free.

Since you’re buying three, you can use 3 of the $5/1 Trio coupon HERE to get TWO free when you buy one.  Here’s how:

3 Trio Building Sets – $14.99 each
-$14.99 discount WYB 3

This is legit one of the sweetest deals. If you’re not familiar with these sets, they grow with kids and they have sets specifically designed for growing age groups. I’ve never tried them, but for this price I will and my neices and nephews will, too. Holla.
